Dear Mehdi: In general journalism has a negative connotation, because unfortunately journalists report only the outer layer of reality. But in your posts, I can see a solid logic behind your reports, you just do not reflect what had happened, you go deeper and you show the causes of an effect. In this comment you have done the same, like a surgeon trying to remove the cancer tumor. Some time I use harsh words, because I cannot stand those lazy minds that just does not want to improve, understand but to interpret the report the way they want. Take this tragedy of Fallojah. As some of us may know, this region was not even touched after the collapse of Saddam. American never bothered entering there because that region was so peaceful. The trouble started after a peaceful demonstration--- I am not sure what was the about--- and then American started shooting at the demonstrators and killing seven people---if I am not mistaken--. The mutilation of four American solders happened after this killing. Why some people are so lazy not even watching-- let a lone reading—the news. No body is happy with what is happening there--- even American--- but the situation is out of control. Or take the killing of Margaret Hassan. Not only none of the well known terrorist organization had claimed her kidnapping but also even the most vicious terrorist group Zarqawi had asked for her release and in the video, there is no masked man, and there is no Quran reading etc. Her killing does not match with any of the previous ones. Who killed Margaret Hassan? These terrorists are not that dumb, they might kidnap a women, for ransom money but possibility of killing her is very remote, firstly that would hurt their image, secondly, after every hostage taking there were a warning issued at the different government to withdraw their troops but in her case there were none, Thirdly: they would do everything to show the world that besides their superficial respect for women--- I am sure some people would accuse me of too naive on terrorists nature – and that this Margaret Hassan was opposed the invasion and was very helpful for Iraqis for a long time and had helped in delivering medicine for Iraqis children right after the first Persian gulf war. Beheading her would outrage even those people that may show some sympathy toward them. So it just does not fit.
We do not need to spend ten years in intelligence academies to learn these; in our daily street fights we used to play the same kind of game when we were eleven –twelve years old. Dividing the opposite groups and turning them against each other and even some time indirectly helping one enemy against the strongest one.
I cannot understand why these adult children never bother to investigate the other possibilities. In any criminal investigation whenever the police and detectives focus only in one subject, they usually miss the real perpetrator. It happens all the time. A good and competent detective always looks broader and narrows down the subject on the way.
These adult children may read some detective novels to see how people play game and divert the attention of police.
In my opinion mostly the Arab mafia of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and United Arab Emirate and other Persian Gulf Arab sheikhs etc are behind this mess. they do not want to see a semi democrat Iraq in the region. That would be the beginning of their end.
Experience of almost centuries of underground organization had shown that, a small group such as Zarqawi couldn’t orchestrate all these attacks, and stay invisible. The things are getting from bed to worse and I hope it will not end in total catastrophe. The future is very unstable and scary. In my opinion any body trying to inflame this fire, either from left or right, from secular or religious side are just as guilty as those involved. The psychological effect of this tragedy won’t go away easily and is contagious for all people. This unfortunate tragedy had brought sadness on freedom lovers and happiness on all reactionary forces in the region and the world.
