Dear Mehdi: Also I had decided not to write at least till mid December, but I could not hold it because when I read khanoom Mahmonir post, as herself had said “ bar saram zadam “ Wolfgang Pauli--- the discoverer of Neutrino---was a great physicist and was very tough with his students and his researchers. If the research paper was not good enough he used to say “ It is not even wrong” and I can say that Memoir’s post was not even wrong. She had made her mind and wanted to fit your post on the death--- oops to make her happy let say murder or even better beheading—of Van Gogh into her pre determined mind. She has tried to split the heir and have discovered that “ you have rationalize and justified his death.”
Khanoom Mahmonir: Let me say some thing about myself and what happens to me when I read some thing whether is Science, literature, politics, philosophy etc. I try to put myself in the position of the author and try to feel his/her feeling during the writing. --- By the way do you and others do the same or I am just crazy---
When I read Mr. Jami’s post, I felt him very upset at the incident and he wanted to express his feeling, his thought to best of his knowledge. I did not see a grain of trying to rationalize—let alone to justify– this horrible crime. Unlike you and Mr. Khalaj, which are pretty good at taking things apart and forgetting how to put the pieces back together—his approach was holistic.
If you really believe that Mr. Jami does not condemn this murder, you had to use a bitter language and you had to show your anger, which you have not. So I can tell that you even do not believe what you are saying. If we try to split one’s word and try to find out why Mehdi had not used the world “ murder” Instead of “ being killed “ we are no were to go forward even a step,
Mr. Jami is not a lawyer and was not drafting a contract between two opposite parties and he did not have to use the “ exact” word so that his adversary could not use in the court of law. Khanoom Mahmonir, with your “ perfect then perfection” style you could be the best lawyer in the world, why wasting your time.?
Khanoom Mahmonir: With your perfectionist thinking style, you cannot get along with anybody. I am not asking you to read “ Hermeneutics “ and other mouth full words, just try to apply your train of thoughts to your every day life, believe me if you do, firstly your husband would ran away and secondly your kids might become schizophrenic the way Bertrand Russell did. “ as mast mou ne kash”
This is true story: Once a Japanese and American corporation wanted to make a deal, the Japanese party returns back to Japan and suddenly receives a fat package form USA. The package was the forms and agreements, which was drafted by American lawyer, precisely mentioning the condition of the business and was asked to be signed by the Japanese party. The Japanese calls and discard the deal by saying that “ if we can not trust each other. There is no way we can get along by even the most accurate agreement.”
Khanoom. got it? try to have some trust--- just a little---
If you know Mr. Jami - even a little—you should have given him the benefit of doubt but you have not. Not that you have difficulty understanding Farsi, because you want to fit his idea into your predetermined mind frame.
